After yesterday epic 4 hour windsurf and with little wind forecast Mag and I decided to go to Levington Marina for breakfast and then walk to Ipswich along the River Orwell !!! So after relaxing watching the boats leaving the marina we set off at midday heading up river with the tide nearly in.It's a lovelly walk along river beach and woods and we stopped at Nacton shore etrance for opur lunch and to read our books before carrying on,with the river up high now there was only just enough room to get along the beach. We were watching the dinghy racing from Woolverstone when we spotted some smoke up ahead and we found a area of ferns and trees on fire !!!! the fire brigade had been called so we stopped and watched the flames until the fireman arrived to put the fire out !!! water was not a problem with the tide in now !!! We continued to the Orwell Bridge which we passed under, through Pipers Vale and to Ipswich docks - we were shattered by now and stopped off at the Pizza Express for a bite :) then walked to the bus station and caught the bus back to Felixstowe where we took our sons car to pick up our van. So a top day even if the walk was just abit too far !!! and fingers crossed for abit of wind tomorrow :)
